Many of you are already familiar with Aiden. He is the adorable grandson of long time Westminster Golf Community residents Tom and Lou Anne Dunfee.
For those of you who don’t know Aiden, he was born with a brain malformation called polymicrogyria (PMG). It involves the folds of the brain and how the neurons communicate. He has severe physical disabilities and is non-verbal. Aiden has been working so hard on his sitting and rolling over the past few years. With help from friends like you, Aiden has been able to attend intensive therapies. As a result, we have seen amazing progress. Aiden’s most recent intensive therapy was the Feldenkrais Method, which uses gentle somatic movements to help the body find new ways to move. We noticed not just more mobility, but also something even more important, greater comfort in his own body. These fundraiser make it possible to keep exploring therapies beyond what insurance will cover. This gives Aiden every opportunity to grow, move and thrive.
